Subaru Australia has launched new 50 Years limited editions of the Forester, Outback, WRX sedan and WRX Sportswagon to commemorate its 50th year on sale locally. Based on the popular 2.5i and 2.5i-S Forester, new top-spec XT Touring Outback and entry-level WRX sedan (both manual and optional CVT automatic) and WRX Sportswagon variants, the new 50 Years limited editions add a number of special cosmetic changes across the range.

Subaru Australia’s Managing Director, Blair Read, expressed his excitement about the release of the special edition models, stating: “This year marks 50 years since the start of a national importer and nationwide dealer network for Subaru in Australia. Since those humble beginnings over 1 million Subaru’s have made their way to driveways all over the country.

“50 years is a significant milestone for our company, and we wanted to celebrate it with something special for our customers.

Over the regular Forester 2.5i, the Forester 2.5i 50 Years limited edition adds leather upholstery, upgraded leather-look dashboard, centre console and door trims from the top-spec Forester 2.5i-S and a 50 Years Edition badge. It’s available in ‘Crystal White’, ‘Ice Silver’, ‘Horizon Blue’, ‘Magnetite Grey’, ‘Crimson Red’ or ‘Crystal Black’ exterior colours and is priced from $38,8690 plus on-road costs or only $1,000 more than the Forester 2.5i on which it’s based.
