Jimny lovers rejoice! It seems there’s something special coming for Australian fans of Suzuki’s tiny off roader. Suzuki Australia has teased a new special-edition Jimny Rhino, with a mysterious three-door 4×4 spotted in the outback wearing striking Kinetic Yellow paint and unique styling cues. While the brand is keeping details under wraps, all signs point to the return of the Rhino Edition badge.
The Rhino nameplate isn’t new. Originally introduced in the 1980s, it continues to feature in markets like Malaysia and South Africa, where Rhino-themed Jimnys gain distinctive upgrades. These typically include a retro-style grille, Rhino decals, a branded spare wheel cover, red mud flaps and additional exterior trim elements.

For Australia, the teased model appears set to stand out with Suzuki’s vivid Kinetic Yellow finish, rather than the more subdued white and silver options offered internationally.
Suzuki Australia general manager Michael Pachota acknowledged the excitement surrounding any new Jimny variant:
“The Jimny community in Australia is thriving, so any hint of something new is going to generate plenty of interest. These vehicles are incredibly capable off-road, which makes getting a closer look at one in the wild no easy task.”
Suzuki added to the intrigue, noting that it’s unclear where this particular Jimny originated from, or if more examples are already out there.

While Suzuki hasn’t officially confirmed the Rhino Edition for Australia, the brand is playing into the speculation.
“We’d love to reveal a new Jimny, especially one that captures the shared spirit of two tough icons: Jimnys and rhinos. But for now, we can’t confirm anything.” Pachota said.
In the meantime, Suzuki is encouraging keen-eyed fans and “Jimnologists” to keep watch and share any sightings ahead of what’s expected to be a future reveal. Stay tuned to DiscoverAuto for more on the Jimny Rhino.
