Toyota Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross range, which is due in local Toyota showrooms soon. Priced from $30,900 plus on-road costs – a $900 increase – the updated Yaris Cross features new standard equipment across the range, as well as upgraded active safety systems, a new infotainment system and minor styling changes.

Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said the upgraded Yaris Cross delivered on the lifestyle needs of its customers. “Since its launch in late 2020, the Yaris Cross has proven a popular choice with customers providing a strong mix of style, performance and practical functionality,” Mr Hanley said.

“Now with the substantial improvements in safety and multimedia technology, along with its hybrid powertrain, it offers even greater value and more appeal whether for daily use around town or getting out into the country on the weekend,” he said.

The main change for the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross range is a new 8.0-inch touchscreen that’s standard across the range. It uses Toyota’s latest infotainment software with cloud-based navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Toyota’s connected services. There are also two USB-C ports in the front seat, while a new 7.0-inch digital driver’s display is now standard as well.

Elsewhere, the Yaris Cross’ auto emergency braking (AEB) system now features support for motorcycles and oncoming vehicles, as well as intersection collision avoidance and emergency steering assistance in the daytime. The car’s adaptive cruise control and adaptive lane guidance systems have also been improved, according to Toyota, thanks to new cameras and sensors for a wider field of view. The GXL, GR Sport and Urban now receive low-speed reverse auto braking and safe exit assist too.

On the outside of the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross range is a new rear side spoiler, while all non-GR Sport variants get a new grille design and new seat trim patterns. The GXL now features rear privacy glass, while all models also get illuminated vanity mirrors, two rear grab handles and a front centre armrest.
