Not long after launching the similarly upgraded D-Max ute, Isuzu Ute Australia has introduced the 2023 Isuzu MU-X, which has gone on sale locally with the first local deliveries scheduled for December 2022. Like the D-Max, the MU-X’s 2023 updates aren’t huge, but are welcome and surprisingly given the current automotive current climate and seemingly endless price rises, the MU-X’s prices have remained.

“Since launch, the MU-X has received much adoration from Customers as the versatile choice of families and travellers looking to tow and explore Australia. These updates will only broaden its appeal and cement its place as one of the top-choices in the segment,” said Isuzu Ute Australia Managing Director, Hiroyasu Sato.

“Similar to the 2023 D-Max stablemate—in which it shares much of its DNA with—these updates have been fuelled by Customer feedback, adding more value and features to an already value-packed vehicle, without the need of a price increase.”

Each variant of the 2023 Isuzu MU-X range has received a range of small updates aimed at increasing its user friendliness. All models now automatically disable the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert when a trailer is connected, while all models now have new LED tailights in a dark grey colour. The entry-level LS-M also has newly designed 17-inch wheels and a new grille design.

The mid-spec LS-U now features a new magnetite and black chrome grille, as well as magnetite accents across the fog lights, rear bumper, roof rails and interior trimmings. The LS-U also now has tyre pressure monitoring and a hands-free electric tailgate.

Finally, the top-spec LS-T has all the updates of the LS-U, as well as new 20-inch alloy wheels.

Available colours for the 2023 Isuzu MU-X range are the no-cost ‘Mineral White’, as well as the $650-extra ‘Mercury Silver Metallic’, ‘Obsidian Grey Mica’, ‘Basalt Black Mica’, ‘Magnetic Red Mica’, ‘Cobalt Blue Mica’, ‘Moonstone White Pearl’ and the new ‘Galaxy Blue Mica’. Black is the sole interior colour.
