Australian pricing and specifications for the facelifted 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV have been released ahead of their local release later this month. Priced from $68,450 plus on-road costs for the Giulia and $76,450 plus on-road costs for the Stelvio, both entry-level Ti and top-spec Veloce models will be available in both model ranges – the twin-turbo V6 Quadrifoglio will be released later this year.

According to the brand, “this marks a significant stage in their history, evolving both the brand’s trademark excellence — perfect weight distribution, driving dynamics, top-of-the-line technological and motoring solutions — and timeless design which makes any Alfa Romeo vehicle a long-lasting moving work of art.”

Unlike the pre-facelifted models, only one engine is available for both the Giulia and Stelvio range: a 206kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Giulia is rear-wheel drive and the Stelvio is all-wheel drive.

Standard equipment on the 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio includes 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED lighting with auto wipers, keyless entry and start, heated and auto-folding mirrors, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, 10-way electric front seats with heating, leather upholstery with a heated leather steering wheel, an 8.8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, digital radio, a wireless phone charger and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. The Stelvio also has a hands-free electric tailgate.

Safety kit includes six airbags, auto emergency braking (AEB), Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam, lane keep assist with lane trace assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, driver attention monitoring, automatic low-speed braking (front and rear), traffic sign recognition with intelligent speed assist, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

The upper-spec Giulia and Stelvio Veloce add a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, gloss black exterior trim, sports seats, aluminium trim inserts, aluminium shift pedals, a limited-slip differential, rear privacy glass, an alarm and leather-trimmed dashboard, upper door trim and centre armrest. The Stelvio Veloce also adds larger 20-inch wheels.

The only option on both cars is a $2,700 panoramic sunroof.
