Skoda Australia has announced that the 2024 Skoda Octavia Sportline, a new sporty-looking addition to the Octavia range, is now on sale ahead of the first deliveries landing in local showrooms from the end of February 2024. Adding a number of new trim enhancements to the Style on which it’s based – like gloss black exterior trim, lowered suspension and sports seats – the Sportline is priced from $42,490 drive away for the liftback, or exactly the same as the Style.
Skoda Australia head of marketing and product Kieran Merrigan said the new Octavia SportLine continued to reinforce the Simply Clever brand’s range-wide European-best buying and ownership package.
“The most popular Octavia in Australia is the RS Wagon with all the options, so it is a design, dynamics and value win for Skoda customers to be offered the Octavia SportLine for the same price as the Octavia Style,” Mr Merrigan said.
Over the Octavia Style on which it’s based, the 2024 Skoda Octavia Sportline adds 15mm-lower sports suspension, drive mode selection, sports seats trimmed in cloth, different 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss black exterior trim on the grille, window surrounds, bumpers and wagon’s roof rails, aluminium pedals, a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel and Sportline badging.
Buyers of the Octavia Sportline can also choose a $3,200 Premium Pack, which adds electric front seat adjustment with memory, heated front and rear seats, adaptive lane guidance, three extra USB-C ports, DAB+ digital radio and emergency assist. The wagon is also available with a $1,900 panoramic sunroof.
Under the bonnet of the 2024 Skoda Octavia Sportline is the same 110kW/250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine as the Octavia Style. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and is front-wheel drive only. While Skoda is yet to announce fuel consumption for the Sportline, the mechanically-identical Style is rated at 5.7L/100km for the liftback and and 5.8L/100km for the wagon on the combined cycle, while the 0-100km/h sprint takes 8.5 seconds for the liftback and 8.6 for the wagon.
