Ahead of the first local deliveries in early 2024, the 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech has been priced for Australia and is now available to order. Priced from $64,990 plus on-road costs, the Megane E-Tech will be offered in a single ‘EV60’ grade for now, featuring a 60kWh battery for up to 454km of driving range on the WLTP cycle and a 160kW/300Nm electric motor driving the front wheels.

“All-New Renault Megane E-Tech is a gamechanger,” says Glen Sealey, Renault Australia General Manager.

“This is Renaulution in action: dynamic proportions, an engaging and efficient drive, impressive levels of comfort and safety, and committed actions to a sustainable future. We can’t wait to bring Megane E-Tech to Australia and herald a new dawn in automotive leadership.”

Sitting on the ‘CMF-EV’ platform that also underpins the Nissan Ariya, the 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech measures 4,200mm long, 1,768mm wide, 1,500mm tall and rides on a 2,685mm long wheelbase, making it a similar overall length to the Renault Captur small SUV. The Megane E-Tech’s boot measures between 440-litres with the rear seats up and 1,332L with the seats folded.

Under the body of the 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech is a 60kWh lithium-ion battery that gives up to a claimed 454km of range on the WLTP cycle. The battery can be charged at up to 130kW on a DC fast charger for a 300km range replenishment (or a 15 to 80 per cent battery charge) in as little as 30 minutes. AC charging at up to 7.4kW is possible, for a full charge in just over nine hours. Driving the front wheels is a 160kW/300Nm electric motor, for a claimed 0-100km/h sprint in 7.4 seconds.

Standard equipment on the 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech includes 20-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED exterior lighting, auto wipers, keyless entry and start with walk-away automatic locking, recycled cloth and faux leather trim, a 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a six-speaker sound system, four USB-C ports, a digital rear mirror, multiple driving modes, 48-colour LED ambient lighting and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display.

Safety equipment includes auto emergency braking (AEB) with intersection assist and pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assistance, auto high beam, smart traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert, adaptive cruise control with a speed limiter, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert (both with braking), front, rear and side parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Six colours will be available for the 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech: ‘Rafale Grey’, ‘Shadow Grey’, ‘Solid White’, ‘Diamond Black’, ‘Flame Red’, and ‘Night Blue’ – with the choice of a body-coloured or contrasting roof design in either ‘Diamond Black’ or ‘Shadow Grey’, depending on the body colour chosen. Colour pricing is yet to be confirmed. The Megane E-Tech will be offered with the same five-year/100,000km warranty as petrol and diesel Renault products, but with an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty too.
