Hyundai has added a new higher-spec variant to the Staria Load van range, with the 2023 Hyundai Staria Load Premium now on sale in Australia. Focusing on adding new higher-end equipment to the already well-equipped Staria Load, the Premium adds features such as LED exterior lighting, alloy wheels, a blind-spot camera and a funky LED front light bar for a more premium look and feel.

“We are pleased to introduce Staria Load Premium, which once again resets the safety standard in the commercial van segment with its new standard advanced driver assistance systems,” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer Ted Lee said.

“Staria Load Premium’s new safety, style and convenience features, and the model’s passenger-car like comfort make it a uniquely attractive offering in the van market,” he said.

The new equipment highlights for the 2023 Hyundai Staria Load Premium include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and tailights, an LED front light bar, auto high beam, keyless entry and start with a power tailgate, single-zone climate control, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a blind-spot camera.

That’s in addition to the regular Staria Load’s equipment list, which includes automatic headlights, heated and auto-folding mirrors, cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, seven airbags (including a front centre unit), auto emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist with lane trace assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, driver attention monitoring with lead vehicle departure alert, speed sign recognition with intelligent speed limit assist, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera (twin-door) or 360-degree camera (liftback).

Customers can also choose from a greater range of colours for the Premium, with ‘Graphite Grey’, ‘Shimmering Silver and ‘Moonlight Blue’ available in addition to the regular Load’s flat white and black.

Under the bonnet of the 2023 Hyundai Staria Load Premium is the same 130kW/430Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that’s used in the other Staria Load variants. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and its fuel consumption is rated at 7.0L/100km on the combined cycle.

  • Two-Seat Liftback/Twin-Door: $45,740
