The 2021 Skoda Octavia will hit Australian showrooms in late April priced from $32,990 drive away. Now in its fourth generation, the Octavia is the best-selling Skoda globally and continues to use the same MQB platform that underpins the latest Volkswagen Golf, Tiguan, Audi A3 and so on. Like before, two engine options will be available when the Octavia reaches local showrooms in late April: a 1.4-litre turbo petrol for the base Ambition and mid-spec Style, and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol under the sporty RS badge.

Standard equipment on the entry-level 2021 Skoda Octavia 110TSI Ambition includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, auto lights and wipers, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker sound system, two USB-C chargers, rear air vents with a rear centre armrest, an electric tailgate, push-button start and the full array of Skoda’s ‘simply clever’ features, such as an umbrella in the door, a double-sided boot floor and tablet holders on the rear of the front seats.

Safety kit includes eight airbags (including a front centre unit), auto emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, rear parking sensors and driver attention monitoring.

The Octavia 110TSI Style adds machined alloy wheels, front fog lights with cornering functionality, Matrix LED headlights, satellite navigation, auto-folding mirrors, keyless entry and start, an alarm and auto parking.

The top-spec Octavia RS then adds quite a lot of sportier details such as larger 19-inch wheels, fabric and leather sports seats, carbon-look interior trim with suede door panels, a rear spoiler, three more USB C ports, digital radio, a quicker steering rack, front parking sensors, rear side airbags, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and 15mm-lower sports suspension with independent rear suspension.

Option packages are available for the Style, including the $3,200 Tech Pack (adaptive dampers, a heads-up display, 12-speaker Canton sound system, digital radio and tri-zone climate control) and the $5,800 Luxury Pack (leather upholstery, electric front seats with memory functionality, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive lane guidance, heated front and rear seats, tri-zone climate control, mechanical sun blinds for rear passengers and memory functionality for the mirrors).

The RS Premium Pack ($6,500) adds adaptive dampers, electric front seats, heated front and rear seats, a massaging driver’s seat, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, kick-to-open functionality for the bootlid, auto parking, drive mode selection, tri-zone climate control, sun blinds for rear passengers and auto-dimming and memory functionality for the mirrors.

A $,1900 panoramic sunroof is available for all wagon models as well, and metallic paint ranges from $770-$1,100.
