Ahead of their March and July respective debuts, Australian pricing for the 2024 Lexus LBX and GX have been revealed. Priced from $47,550 plus on-road costs for the LBX and $116,000 +ORC for the GX, both the LBX and GX will be offered in three grades each and have expanded Lexus’ local lineup further after the LM people carrier was recently introduced.

Lexus Australia Chief Executive John Pappas said the LBX is a game-changer and that Lexus is pleased with the strong interest shown in GX through the Expressions of Interest (EOI) page on the company’s website.

“The LBX is the first car in its class to combine hybrid efficiency with big-car luxury, making it a small car that is truly premium in every respect,” Mr Pappas said. “The GX has genuine appeal in the way it delivers trademark Lexus luxury and craftsmanship with rugged off-road performance suited to tough Australian conditions.

To be offered in three grades, the 2024 Lexus LBX will feature a 100kW 1.5-litre three-cylinder hybrid drivetrain, with fuel consumption figures yet to be announced. Standard equipment on the entry-level Luxury includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a 360-degree camera, synthetic leather upholstery with powered and heated front seats and a powered tailgate.

The upper-spec Sports Luxury – available in both 2WD and AWD – gains synthetic suede-accented seat upholstery, self parking functionality, active noise cancellation and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.

As outlined in our equipment news article from early February, the Lexus GX550 large SUV will be offered in three grades: base Luxury, off-road Overtrail and top-spec Sports Luxury. Under the bonnet is a 260kW twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre petrol V6 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
