Nissan Australia has revealed local pricing and specifications for the 2023 Nissan Z, which is due to go on sale locally in mid-2022. Priced from $73,300 plus on-road costs for both the six-speed manual and nine-speed automatic, the Z will be offered in one permanent model with a Proto Spec limited edition priced at $80,700. According to Nissan, over 1,000 customers have already placed deposits for the car, further proving that sports car sales are alive and well.

“I know Australian fans of the Z family have been waiting patiently for further details about this impressive new sports coupe, and I’m thrilled to be able to confirm pricing and further specification details for our market,” says Nissan Australia Managing Director, Adam Paterson.

“The fastest, most powerful and most exciting Z car ever is now ready to launch in Australia, and I can’t wait for people to climb behind the wheel of this new icon.”

Underneath the bonnet of the 2023 Nissan Z is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 engine that makes 298kW of power and 475Nm of torque. It’s mated to either a six-speed manual or a new nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for manual control.

Standard equipment on the 2023 Nissan Z includes automatic all-LED lighting, a suede and leather-accented interior with heated and electrically adjustable front seats, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a mechanical limited-slip differential, launch control for automatic variants, downshift rev-matching for manuals and active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement to both drown out road noise and pump engine noise in to the cabin.

Safety equipment will include features like auto emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assistance, auto high beam, speed sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

The Z Proto Spec further adds bronze 19-inch wheels, a ‘bespoke’ interior and ‘Ikazuchi Yellow’ paintwork with a black roof. It’s priced at $80,700 plus on-road costs and its numbering isn’t known.
