Jeep Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2025 Jeep Avenger, which is due on sale locally in the fourth quarter of 2024. Priced from $53,990 plus on-road costs, the Avenger will be offered in three models initially, all with a 115kW electric motor driving the front wheels that’s powered by a 54kWh battery for up to 396km of range on the WLTP cycle. Designed for – and built in – Europe, the Avenger uses the same mechanicals as the Peugeot E-2008.

According to the brand, “Jeep Australia is excited to announce the arrival of the all-new fully electric 2025 Jeep Avenger late this year starting from $53,990. The introduction of the Jeep Avenger marks the beginning of the next phase of the electrification of the Jeep brand – the BEV wave.”

“Designed and produced as a Jeep vehicle from day one, the Avenger packs the Jeep DNA into a compact SUV with a unique combination of capability, style, functionality, and technology. Avenger has been designed to perfectly fit the needs of customers.”

Built on the same platform as the Peugeot, the 2025 Jeep Avenger uses a 51kWh (useable) nickel-manganese-cobalt battery for up to 396km of range on the WLTP cycle (391km for the top-spec Summit thanks to its larger wheels). That battery sends power to the front wheels only, with a 115kW/260Nm electric motor giving the Avenger a claimed 9.0-second 0-100km/h sprint time. While the Avenger is front-wheel drive only for now, Jeep claims that it still has reasonable off-road ability thanks to its 200mm ground clearance and 20-degree approach/32-degree departure angles.

All Avenger models can be DC fast charged at up to 100kW for a 20 to 80 per cent charge time of 24 minutes at that speed, while AC charging is limited to 7kW in the base Longitude and 11kW in the mid-spec Limited and top-spec Summit. An AC full charge takes just under eight hours in the Longitude (at 7kW) and just over 5.5 hours in the Limited and Summit (at 11kW).
