BMW Australia has announced a new special edition of the 3 Series range that’s due in local showrooms soon. Priced from $89,900 drive away, the 2024 BMW 330i Sport adds some previously optional standard equipment for a lower price – in this case, as much as $15,000 less than the regular 330i before options.

According to BMW Australia, “BMW Sport Collection models provide a compelling proposition for customers with an optimised equipment offering while retaining the renowned performance and efficiency of BMW powertrains at a revised price point.”

Compared with the regular 330i, the 2024 BMW 330i Sport adds a sunroof, M high-gloss Shadowline gloss black exterior highlights and heated front seats. The 330i Sport includes usually-$2,000 optional premium paint options: Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, Mineral White, M Portimao Blue, M Brooklyn Grey or Skyscraper Grey. It does, however, lose some equipment compared with the regular 330i: lane trace assist, front cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera and leather upholstery.

The 2024 BMW 330i Sport uses the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine as the regular 330i. It makes the same 190kW of power and 400Nm of torque, and is also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Its claimed fuel consumption is 6.5L/100km with claimed CO2 emissions of 149g/km.
