Ahead of its fourth quarter 2022 arrivals, full Australian pricing and specifications for the 2023 Peugeot 308 have been announced. Priced from $43,990 plus on-road costs, the new 308 range includes two hatchback and one wagon models, while a plug-in hybrid hatchback will arrive in the first half of 2023.

Ahead of the arrival of the new Peugeot 308 to the Australian market, Peugeot Australia Managing Director, Kate Gillis, commented: “It is with great excitement that we can today open pre-orders for the 308. Our latest arrival brings a dynamic and stylish design, with the local model range carefully selected to provide consumers with a strong line-up.”

Standard equipment on the 2023 Peugeot 308 GT (priced from $43,990 plus on-road costs) includes 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic all-LED lighting, dual-zone climate control, four USB-C charging ports, suede and leather upholstery, a 10.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and keyless entry and start.

Safety kit includes six airbags, auto emergency braking (AEB) with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with road edge assist, driver attention alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and LED headlights with Matrix automatic adaptive high beam.

The GT Premium ($48,990 +ORC for the hatch, $50,490 +ORC for the wagon) adds matte black 18-inch wheels, a Focal 10-speaker sound system, a 360-degree parking camera, Nappa leather upholstery with heated and massaging front seats, an electric driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof and lane trace assist.

Colour options for the 2023 Peugeot 308 range includes the no-cost ‘Olivine Green’, the $690 extra ‘Artense Grey’ and ‘Nera Black’ and the $1,050-extra ‘Vertigo Blue’, ‘Elixir Red’ and ‘Pearl White’.

The only available engine for the 2023 Peugeot 308 range is a 96kW/230Nm 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that’s matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The WLTP claimed combined fuel consumption rating is just 5.2L/100km for the hatch.

The 308 GT Sport plug-in hybrid will launch in the first half of 2023 and adds an 81kW electric motor to a 132kW 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine for 165kW and 360Nm in total. It draws power from a 12.4kWh battery pack and overseas, 59km of electric driving range.
