LDV has launched an upgraded version of its T60 ute in Australia with new styling, an upgraded interior and – for the first time locally – important safety features like auto emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control. Priced from $45,990 drive away for ABN holders, the LDV T60 Max Plus also introduces a new interior layout with dual screens and multi-link rear suspension and it sits at the top of the T60 Max range, which is still available in Pro and Luxe variants.

“The Aussie ute market is a key battleground for OEMs as the vehicles have to be truly multi-purpose, bridging the gap between work necessity and lifestyle choice,” says Dinesh Chinnappa, LDV General Manager.

“We’ve listened to feedback from the market and worked closely with our colleagues in China to ensure the T60 range remains competitive. T60 Max Plus is a new model that has key technical, specification and safety updates to complement its position as one of the most powerful four-cylinder utes you can buy.”

Priced $2,500 above the T60 Luxe from $45,990 drive away for ABN holders, the LDV T60 Max Plus adds a number of features, including the aforementioned auto emergency braking and adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning (all three for automatic variants only), as well as twin 12.3-inch infotainment (with both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring) and driver information displays. There’s a new dashboard layout for the automatic with a wireless phone charger and a new gear selector that’s now mounted on the steering column.

On the outside of the LDV T60 Max Plus are new styling features like black details, black 18-inch alloy wheels and black heated electric-folding mirrors, while a new sound deadening under the bonnet, multi-link rear suspension set up and electronic power steering have been added for greater comfort as well. According to LDV, the T60 Max Plus’ payload is 800kg in the T60 Max Plus Mega Tub, 840kg in the T60 Max Plus manual and 830kg in the T60 Max Plus auto.
