Budget-conscious new-car buyers rejoice – the new 2025 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro small SUV has been launched locally with super sharp pricing, with the base model available from just $23,990 drive away. Chery’s latest offering is smaller than the Chery Omoda 5 mid-size SUV and is comparable in size to the MG ZS, Hyundai Venue, Kia Stonic and Mazda CX-3.

It’s the fourth-most affordable new car in Australia, trailing only the Kia Picanto (from $20,690 drive-away), the soon-to-be-discontinued Suzuki Ignis (from $22,490 drive-away), and the MG ZS Excite (from $21,990 drive-away).

Lewis Lu, Chief Executive Officer, Chery Australia stated “We are delighted to introduce the TIGGO 4 Pro to the Australian market.”

“This feature-packed compact SUV will complement the Chery range in Australia and is set to deliver an innovative and affordable motoring experience”.

2025 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro

Although new to Australia for 2024, the Tiggo 4 Pro has been available in China since 2017 and has undergone several updates over the years to keep it fresh. The version arriving in Australia features the latest updates, including a redesigned front bumper, and a new interior with dual 10.25-inch displays, similar to the larger Omoda 5.

The Tiggo 4 Pro measures 4351mm in length, 1831mm in width, and 1662mm in height, with a 2610mm wheelbase. It’s only 23mm shorter and 1mm narrower than the Chery Omoda 5, with the same wheelbase but 74mm lower. All of this means that Chery’s cheapest car also packs in quite a lot of value with what should be more than enough room for those looking at an entry-level SUV.

Under the Tiggo 4 Pro’s bonnet sits the same engine found in the Omoda 5 – a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 108kW and 210Nm, paired with a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT) driving the front wheels.

Chery claims a combined fuel consumption of 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in mixed driving, with a 51-litre fuel tank which supports 91-octane regular unleaded petrol.

Two models feature in the lineup for simplicity: the base Urban and top-spec Ultimate. The Urban is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch instrument display, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wired/wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloth seats, keyless entry and start, and dual-zone climate control.

The Tiggo 4 Pro Ultimate variant adds a sunroof, synthetic leather-look seats, a 360-degree camera, and other upgrades over the base Urban model, and is priced at $26,990 drive away.
