The 2024 Volkswagen Touareg update has been launched in Australia with freshened styling, more technology and an enhanced value equation with both more features and lower pricing across the range. Priced from $86,790 plus on-road costs for the 170TDI entry point, the updated Touareg is up to $8,250 less expensive than the pre-facelifted model but it also has new standard equipment across the range, including a huge 15-inch touchscreen and Matrix adaptive high beam.

“The challenge in this frantically competitive SUV market was to make the Touareg more competitive,” Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Director Michal Szanieki said.

“From the entry variant to the new pinnacle of the range, the team has achieved that. Not only are the more obvious competitors to Volkswagen outpointed and outpriced, there are dimensions to the Touareg’s offer at any level – not least in terms of performance and technology – to better SUVs from the prestige brands.”
