Australian pricing and specifications have been released for the long-awaited 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale, which was revealed earlier this year. Arriving with two initial models with pricing kicking off from $49,900 plus on-road costs, the new Alfa undercuts its rivals on pricing. Initially available in mild-hybrid form, the Tonale will also be available in a plug-in hybrid later in 2023. The Tonale is the Italian car maker’s first attempt at a hybrid vehicle and will compete with the likes of the Audi Q2, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Lexus UX, Volvo XC40 and BMW X1.

Alfa Romeo Australia’s Managing Director, Kevin Flynn, said, “We are very excited to see Alfa Romeo move towards electrification. The Tonale Hybrid is the ultimate blend of past, present and future, with its classic style, meticulous interior and driver-centric environment.”

“The Alfa Romeo heritage shines through with the modern style and ingenuity that make the Tonale Hybrid a one-of-a-kind.”
