Subaru Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2024 Subaru Solterra electric mid-size SUV ahead of local orders opening on November 8th and the first deliveries commencing before Christmas. Priced from $77,990 plus on-road costs for the entry-level model, the Australian-spec Solterra uses a 71.4kWh lithium-ion battery for up to 414km of range.
Subaru Australia’s Managing Director, Blair Read, said: “We are delighted to extend the opportunity to all Australian motorists to reserve their order in the first allocation of our first all-electric Subaru SUV.”
Sitting on the new ‘e-Subaru Global Platform’ architecture, the 2024 Subaru Solterra will be offered in Australia with a single drivetrain: a 160kW/337Nm dual-motor set up that’s mated to a 71.4kWh lithium-ion battery. The claimed WLTP range is 414km, while the Solterra can be charged at up to 150kW on a DC fast charged – doing so allows for a 20 to 80 per cent charge in as little as 30 minutes.
The Solterra can be charged at up to 7kW using AC power for a 20 to 80 per cent charge in eight hours.
