Nissan Australia has confirmed that the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo will be available to order locally from August 10th, with the first local deliveries due late this year. With an initial allocation of 100 due for Australian sales, the Nismo Z is priced from $94,000 plus on-road costs – almost $20,000 more than the regular Z. Over the regular Z, the Nismo adds more performance, handling upgrades and sportier styling for greater aerodynamics.

“The Z Nismo is a true sports car flagship, with Nissan’s engineers leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of performance,” says Nissan Australia Managing Director, Adam Paterson.

“We wanted to extend our thanks to those already awaiting their Z by offering them a chance to secure a Z Nismo, while still ensuring this special vehicle is made available to Z fans across the country.

Under the bonnet of the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo is the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre petrol V6 engine as the regular Z, but its outputs have been pumped up to 309kW of power and 520Nm of torque – up from the 298kW/475Nm of the regular Z. The only transmission in the Z Nismo is the optional nine-speed automatic of the regular Z – no manual is available.

To match the extra power, the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo also features bigger front brake rotors, unique stabiliser bars, a stiffer spring rate and retuned dampers. There’s additional front and rear underfloor bracing helping torsional rigidity by 2.5 per cent. There are also new lighter Rays 19-inch alloy wheels with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tyres that reduce mass at each corner. There are also enhanced brakes, with 380mm (+25mm) rotors and 2mm thicker rotors matched to 350mm rear brake rotors, with a more performance-focused brake pad compound.

The inside the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo has also been upgraded with Recaro leather and suede performance seats, a new leather and suede steering wheel, Nismo-specific gauge graphics and special red buttons in the cabin for the drive mode selection and starter button.

The outside has Nismo-specific styling like a bodykit and rear spoiler, which reportedly enhances the Z’s aerodynamics. Buyers will be able to choose from ‘Black Diamond Metallic’, ‘Brilliant Silver’ with a black roof, ‘Everest White’ with a black Roof, or ‘Stealth Gray’ with a black roof.

2024 Nissan Z pricing (plus on-road costs):

  • Z manual/auto: $75,800
  • Z Nismo auto: $94,000

The 2024 Nissan Z Nismo will go on sale in Australia on August 10th, with the first deliveries due in late 2023. Stay tuned to DiscoverAuto for the latest automotive news and reviews.
