Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said the addition of the 10th Anniversary Edition reflected the popularity of the driver-focused sports car in Australia.

“When it launched in 2012, the first-generation 86 struck a chord with those looking for an affordable sports car representing great value with Toyota reliability,” Mr Hanley said.

“This new 10th Anniversary Edition channels the spirit of the original 86 while introducing a range of unique design touches, along with all upgrades that the GR86 delivered when we launched it last year.”

Based on the top-spec GR86 GTS, the 2023 Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition is available solely in ‘Solar Orange’ paintwork, which is a new colour for the GR86 in Australia. The colour commemorates the orange colour that the 86 was originally revealed in back in 2012.

Orange stripe accents also appear on the Suede and leather seats, while the inside of the door trims feature 10th Anniversary orange embroidery. Finally, the 10th Anniversary replaces the standard car’s silver instrument panel moulding with black.

That’s on top of the GR86 GTS’ standard equipment list, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic all-LED lighting, heated and electric-folding mirrors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and heated front seats.

Safety kit includes six airbags, traction and stability control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
